About
This comprehensive training is designed to equip mentors with the foundational skills, cultural awareness, and psychological insight needed to effectively mentor individuals transitioning out of polygamous cultures. Participants will learn how to build trust-based relationships as "Domestic Refugees" adjust to mainstream society, navigate the five distinct stages of the mentoring lifecycle, and implement healthy boundaries that empower rather than enable clients. By exploring practical strategies for active listening, crisis management, and avoiding the "Rescuing" mentality, this course prepares mentors to safely and compassionately walk alongside mentees from isolation into long-term independence.
