Services

Holding Out HELP provides a wide range of services designed to support individuals transitioning from polygamous communities. At the heart of our approach is personalized case management—each client is paired with a dedicated case manager who helps them set goals, create budgets, access resources, and navigate their path toward independence. Whether someone needs food, clothing, school supplies, or help applying for housing or employment, our team walks alongside them every step of the way.

We also offer comprehensive mental health support, including individual and group therapy, trauma-informed care, and neurofeedback, a non-invasive technique that helps regulate the brain and improve emotional well-being. Our licensed therapists work closely with case managers to ensure that each client receives integrated, compassionate care. By addressing both practical needs and emotional healing, Holding Out HELP creates a strong foundation for lasting growth and self-sufficiency.

Case Management

At Holding Out HELP, case management involves guiding and supporting individuals from polygamous backgrounds by connecting them with the right resources and services to help them transition, heal, and rebuild their lives.

Budgeting

We work with clients on basic budgeting and financial education, recognizing that many have experienced financial abuse or were never taught how money systems work. Our approach focuses on building understanding, confidence, and practical skills at a manageable pace.

Resources

Case management connects clients to a wide range of resources, including referrals to government programs and community partners. We also assist with applications, navigation, and follow-through to help remove barriers and support long-term stability.

Goal Setting

Goal setting is a powerful tool for growth and healing. Clients learn how to set realistic goals, take steps forward, and understand that mistakes or setbacks are part of the process — with continued support, encouragement, and the reassurance that they are not alone.

Mental Health Services

Our in-house therapeutic services are provided by experienced clinicians who are familiar with working with individuals who have left polygamous communities as well as those who continue to remain within them. Therapy offers a supportive, non-judgmental space focused on healing, empowerment, and emotional well-being, while always respecting each client’s choices and personal path.
