The role of a host home is designed to provide a safe environment for individuals as they stabilize, adjust to mainstream society and develop socially. Our experience has shown when individuals have a host home, they adjust better to mainstream society. For clients under 18 the host home provides surrogate parents, often with power of attorney, guardianship or other legal authority. For clients 18 and older the host home role is more as a coach/consultant.
